Fruity ideas for one of Britain’s most iconic food brands
|Requirement||Creative Design and Marketing|
Soreen is the UK's leading malt loaf brand. It's a truly iconic Great British food brand with over 75 years of heritage. We've used our squidgy energy and developed some fruity ideas over the years to fuel their marketing including advertising, campaigns, design, packaging and the production of their limited edition 75th anniversary book.
Since 1938 Soreen has grown from a seed of an idea in the head of founder John Sorensen, to a household favourite and ever expanding product range. So, if you're like us and love a slice, you'll love the tasty, limited edition book we designed to help them commemorate their 75th anniversary.
After delving into the Soreen archives, we designed a publication full of heritage, warmth and nostalgia. Following months of research and with the help of the brilliant copywriter Helen Dugdale, we took a trip down Soreen's cobbled memory lane to help tell their brand story. Focussing on advertising and packaging examples plus story after story from yesteryear through to the present day, our book complete with bookmark and 'The little story of Soreen' timeline, pays homage to how the brand continues to evolve.
One of our favourite other projects for Soreen goes back to 2012 and the Great British Summer of Soreen campaign we created. It may be an oldie but it's definitely worth it's weight in gold!
Starting with our limited edition Union Jack pack designs that hit the shelves to coincide with the London Olympics, Sunny Thinking teamed up with Soreen on their 'Great British Summer of Soreen' marketing campaign including branding at sampling events, helping maximise sponsorships at key music and sporting events such as the Tour of Britain, in-store branding and POS, print and online advertising, email marketing, leaflet design and PR support. We even did parents a favour and designed a children's activity pack to help keep them quiet in that busy holiday traffic!
We've also worked with Soreen on many other creative projects over the years including the design of stationery, office branding, vehicle livery, event signage and promotional materials, recipe books, POS, in-store branding and various adverts.
It was an exciting time for us at the bakery. Not only did we launch our limited edition Union Jack packs, but we had a whole range of activities as part of our Great British Summer of Soreen. We were delighted to have teamed up with Sunny Thinking who did so much to inspire our promotions by supporting our nationwide marketing campaign including radio, online and events.Kat, Marketing Manager
