Since 2005, OSL has evolved massively as a business. It has developed a proven pedigree working with leading organisations across the globe including BP, E.ON, Wingas, Oando and Orsted. As a forward-thinking engineering consultancy that continues to innovate and expand, they felt the timing was right to develop a new brand identity that truly reflects both their heritage and their exciting vision for the future.
OSL approached Sunny Thinking to develop a new brand identity that reflects their innovative nature as a technically minded engineering consultancy with an inventive attitude.
Inspired by the lateral thinking of Edward De Bono and great engineers and inventors of all times, Clever Thinking® is the unique discovery journey that OSL take their clients on to find out the best way to work with them and to achieve a winning outcome. The new branding we created anchors on a thought bubble to reflect how their business is built on sharing ideas and creative collaboration. The bubble will be used as an additional graphical element for enhancing designs.
The use of green as the primary brand colour opens up creative possibilities and is deeply linked to lateral or divergent thinking. We also incorporated a secondary colour palette that utilises the other colours from Edward De Bono's 'Six Thinking Hats'.
In addition to the brand design itself we have developed identity guidelines for both internal and externally produced communications to help maintain consistency and continuity as they present their professional and progressive image to the world.
The main focus and reason for OSL initially contacting Sunny Thinking was their previous website had become completely outdated in terms of messaging, content and performance. Our primary task was to develop a new website that truly reflected their evolving business and showcased their new branding in it's full glory. We designed and developed their new fully responsive website using Craft CMS.
With the brand identity in place Sunny Thinking is rolling out the new look across various touchpoints from banner stand design, collateral, stationery, internal branding, signage, printed communications as well as ongoing marketing materials and content for use online and across their digital marketing including socials and email marketing.
