Ruk-bug was an incredibly exciting product idea that was new to the nursery sector. It wasn’t a standard pushchair but a buggy with a difference. A buggy that parents could even carry on their back when their little Houdinis want to wander. Our challenge as Ruk-bug's creative marketing agency was to build their brand awareness and launch to the trade at Harrogate International Nursery Fair.
Sunny Thinking designed a fully integrated trade marketing campaign for Ruk-bug called 'Here, there and everywhere'. Not only did Ruk-bug have a unique product, but is also had a unique brand personality. This was crucial when trying to break in to a cluttered marketplace and compete against established brands including the likes of Bugaboo, Mamas & Papas, Cosatto and Joolz to name just a few.
Leading up to it's trade launch at the all-important Harrogate International Nursery Fair, we were tasked with developing a campaign to drive awareness, footfall to their stand and ultimately generate enquiries from the trade. One vital part of the campaign was the design of their product literature. Warm, friendly, intimate and informative in design style, the brands personality is also reflected in the carefully chosen print materials.
As part of the campaign we designed adverts and gained key editorial coverage in the main trade publications such as Nursery Today, Progressive Preschool and Nursery Industry. The adverts were supported by a targeted and very effective social media and email campaign that directed people to a simple website.
We designed a stand that showcased the product and it's unique personality, to appeal to the key trade buyers and retailers that were attending.
We also designed a video to introduce the product and tell the story of this exciting new brand. Supported by a warm, personable voice over and music background, the video animation combines both lifestyle still shots and rendered product images.
The pre-show trade campaign was a huge success with a number of key nursery buyers loving the brand including the likes of John Lewis.
