Increasing participation in physical activity and sport with Greater Manchester Moving

Greater Manchester Moving has an ambition to positively change the lives of people across Greater Manchester through physical activity and sport. It is a collaborative approach between key partners including GreaterSport,Transport for Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, Sport England and the local authorities and other supporters. We are proud to be supporting them through creative marketing.
Sunny Thinking was originally approached to create branding for the movement as well as design a high profile publication to map out the plan for 2017-21. Greater Manchester has a vision to be a city region fit for the future and part of that ambition is to improve the health and wellbeing of its 2.8 million citizens. The publication was designed to explore the scale and nature of the challenge ahead, priorities for the region and highlight the core pledges at the heart of the plan. It was launched by Andy Burnham, Chair of the GMCA and Mayor of Greater Manchester.
Subsequently we were commissioned to design a website for the movement to highlight its vision, journey and stories. We have created a platform for knowledge sharing and showcasing the amazing work GM Moving is doing to help the people of Greater Manchester get more active more often, whatever their age, background and current lifestyle. The website we designed is built with Craft CMS and is fully responsive.
In addition to our work with GM Moving we have also worked on many projects for their sister organisation, GreaterSport. This mainly involved designing key printed communications such as their annual reports, strategic plan, primary school premium collateral and spectator marketing for the School Sports Games.
