buzz was Manchester's NHS Health & Wellbeing Service. Their aim was simple…to help improve the health and wellbeing of people and communities in Manchester…to help individuals and families live fuller, healthier, happier and longer lives. Sunny Thinking was proud to have created their branding and develop their ongoing communications.
Health and wellbeing is at the heart of Sunny Thinking so we were delighted to be approached to create the branding for buzz. Sunny Thinking developed their brand identity from naming, logo design and developing their tone of voice and visual style through to rolling out the new identity across multiple marketing channels including design of their website, videos and other ongoing communications.
As part of rolling out the new brand style we created, Sunny Thinking developed a family of literature to promote the services of buzz and to assist them in the community when helping people improve their physical health, mental health and wellbeing. We designed booklets for their key stakeholders, Neighbourhood Health workers, Knowledge Services and PARS (their Physical Activity Referral Service). The designs build on the calm, warm, friendly brand style we introduced.
To support their team of health and wellbeing advisors Sunny Thinking also designed a series of twelve self-help guides. The guides give advice and guidance across a number of topics including managing stress, talking about self-harm, building self-esteem, the 5 ways to well-being, work and mental health, physical activity, personality disorders, long-term health, sleep, managing depression and anxiety.
We also created a series of exercise leaflets that fold out to posters for buzz Physical Activity Referral Service. Covering exercises that help with back pain, strength & balance, cardiovascular fitness and help with COPD, the leaflets are helping more people, stay more active, more often.
As part of the branding exercise and promoting the service Sunny Thinking designed a fully responsive and content managed website. Built with Craft CMS, the site helped the people of Manchester get connected, move more and learn about health. It was a hive of activity full of useful information about health and wellbeing in Manchester, the services offered by buzz, general health information, referral forms and a blog that was regularly updated with latest health and wellbeing news, events and information in the area. We also designed email marketing templates to support the site.
We also created two videos to promote buzz. The original video was a short animated film produced to launch the services. Sunny Thinking was commissioned again to create another film to help tell the updated story of buzz and how they had successfully supported people across Manchester since the service was established. The video explained what buzz offered out and about in the community including their team of Neighbourhood Health Workers, PARS (Physical Activity Referral Service) and their Knowledge Service.
Having previously worked with Jonathan and the team on a number of hugely successful public health projects, we are now delighted with what they are helping us to develop at buzz. The feedback to the new brand is incredibly positive.
